CURRENT SINGLE: “Long Live”
While building their music career and amassing 17 #1 hits, Florida Georgia Line has also been building a business empire that includes their own record label, a publishing company, their own liquor brands, FGL House, their bar/restaurant in Nashville, plus Brian co-owns Tribe Kelley clothing with his wife Brittany. It would seem that their plates are overflowing, but according to Brian, that doesn’t mean that they’re not interested in taking on more opportunities, they’re just much more selective now. “I think right now where we’re at when it comes to opportunities or the next adventure,” says Brian, “from here on out I think it’s not just hopping at every opportunity – not saying we have – but it’s just continuing to jump on the opportunities that feel right, that feel like they’re gonna fit our model, and we have a vision for those opportunities. You know, if it feels right, I think we’re always in.”
There are some business opportunities that FGL is presented with that don’t quite work for one reason or another, and Brian says, “If it feels like we’re pushing it, that’s probably our gut saying, ‘hey, it’s probably not the best timing or not the right partnership,’ or whatever it may be.”
But never ones to miss a great opportunity to expand their business empire, Brian says, “When it comes to business, you’ve gotta always be open-minded and ready to pounce but at the same time, you have to be able to say no.”
So, while FGL’s multiple business ventures have kept them plenty busy during the pandemic, they’ve also been focusing on their music, finishing up their fifth album and releasing the first single off that album, “Long Live.”
