(AUDIO) FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE IS FIRED UP FOR THIS WEEKEND’S BIG MACHINE VODKA 400 POWERED BY FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE

Florida Georgia Line will head to Indianapolis this weekend for the inaugural FGL Fest on Saturday and the Big Machine Vodka 400 Powered by Florida Georgia Line on Sunday.  The music festival will feature FGL as the headliners, with performances by Nelly, Cole Swindell, RaeLynn, Riley Green and more.

The next day the guys will be on hand at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the race that bears their name.  Having their name on a NASCAR car will be cool for FGL, but perhaps not something people would suspect they have ever dreamed of, but Tyler Hubbard says, “Actually, BK and I’ve been dreaming about that for a while, longer than you would think. We always said, ‘Man, it’d be really cool to have …’ well, at first it was FGL on the hood of a car?’ And we quickly realized that wasn’t going to happen. So then we were like, Old Camp could be really cool.”

Now that there are cars with FGL and Old Camp as part of the paint scheme, Tyler says, “That’s a huge honor. You know, we love racing, we love this environment. So to be a part of what’s going on and you know, have our brand incorporated with racing, it’s a real honor, we love it.”

When Tyler’s not performing or writing songs, like FGL’s latest single, “Simple,” one of his hobbies is riding dirt bikes, but would he ever want to get behind the wheel of a NASCAR and take it around the track at high speeds?  “I kinda have a little itch to do that,” to which Brian Kelley says, “Lord help us.”  But Tyler says, “We’ll see.  We haven’t done it yet, but I was taking some notes this afternoon.  So we’ll see.  Maybe one of these days.”

Tickets and more information for FGL Fest and the race, are available on IMS.com.

Tyler Hubbard – “It’s funny that you say that, because actually BK and I’ve been dreaming about that for a while, longer than you would think. We always said, ‘Man, it’d be really cool to have …’ well, at first it was FGL on the hood of a car?’ And we quickly realized that wasn’t going to happen. So then we were like, Old Camp could be really cool. So anyway, that’s a huge honor. You know we love racing we love this environment. So to be a part of what’s going on and you know, have our brand incorporated with racing, it’s a real honor, we love it.”
