Florida Georgia Line has been fortunate to win a few CMA Awards, and to continue to be nominated every year, and more than anything, Brian Kelley says any recognition at awards show is special because, “It’s just a big night for team FGL, man. Florida Georgia Line is Brian and Tyler but there’s so much more that goes on with our team in Nashville, our band and crew on the road that make this thing run.”
While it is always nice to be recognized by their peers who vote on a lot of the awards, Brian says, “We don’t do it for the awards, but it’s cool to know that you’re doing something right and that people appreciate it. And our fans are the most amazing in the world, and it just really puts everything in perspective about what it’s all about and making the most of it.”
That attitude of gratitude is what inspired Florida Georgia Line to co-write their latest single, “Blessings.” FGL has won a total of four CMA Awards, including three Vocal Duo of the Year trophies, and they’re nominated in that category for a seventh consecutive time this year. The CMA Awards will air live from Nashville, Wednesday night at 8pm/7pm CT, on ABC.
