CURRENT SINGLE: “Long Live”
Florida Georgia Line was set to tour with Kenny Chesney this past summer on the stadium dates of his Chillaxification Tour, and although the tour was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, the good news is that the dates have been rescheduled in 2021, and Florida Georgia Line can’t wait to tour with the guy whose career they aspire to. “Hopefully one day we can be at Kenny Chesney’s level,” says Tyler Hubbard, “playing 30 #1 hits and a night full of, two and a half hours full of number ones. That’s kind of the goal.”
FGL hopes to have a career as long and successful as Kenny’s that has the same effect on their fans as his career has had on them. Tyler says, “It’s fun to see. It’s a trip down memory lane every time we play a Chesney show.”
They’re such fans that Tyler recalls, “We played a festival with him and after the show we literally changed clothes and sprinted out to the front of house to watch the entire set and just had a great time,” and he says they’re looking forward to doing that many times next summer on the rescheduled tour dates.
