NOW STREAMING – “Round Here (Live from Joe’s 2012)”
2022 is the tenth anniversary of Florida Georgia Line, and to mark the occasion they are releasing live versions of some of their hits recorded Live from Joe’s Bar, Chicago, back in 2012, including “Round Here,” which they just released on Friday.
All these years later, Tyler Hubbard still remembers the day he and Brian Kelley made the decision to pursue music to see if they could make something happen.
Florida Georgia Line – decision to sing for career :36
Tyler Hubbard – “We were goin’ to write with a buddy of mine, and we were sittin’ in the drive-thru. We were almost about to graduate college and were just kinda like, ‘What are you gonna do after college?’ ‘Well, I don’t know, what are you gonna do?’ ‘Well, I don’t really know, whatever.’ And so, we just kinda decided then and there like, we got somethin’ special here with this music thing. Why don’t we just chase it for a couple years and travel around in BK’s Tahoe and play our guitars, and just see what happens. Whether we’re playin’ on sidewalks or whatever, we just wanted to go play music. So, that was sort of an epic moment, like we’re gonna do this. We’re gonna take it serious. If nothing happens in a couple years we’ll go get regular jobs and be regular people. But if it does then let’s chase this thing.”
