People have often tried to put a label on Florida Georgia Line’s brand of country, from progressive country to bro country to not country, but Tyler Hubbard says it’s pretty simple, “I’d say for us man, our music is just who we are. It’s a culmination of all our influences growin’ up.”
Both Tyler and Brian listened to a variety of music growing up and they’ve taken all of those influences and infused them into their music. Tyler says, most importantly, “We’re songwriters at heart, we’re songwriters first and foremost, and that kind of gives us the creative freedom to write whatever kind of music we wanna write. We just write the music that we wanna sing every night and that we feel our fans will connect with.”
Fortunately for Florida Georgia Line, their fans have connected with their music in a big way, giving them multiple #1 hits, and their latest single, “Confession,” which is in the top five on the charts and still climbing.

At the same party, the duo was presented with the 2016 ACM Vocal Duo of the Year honor in advance of Sunday night’s (4/3) show where they performed.
- The guy’s latest single “Confession” sits in the top five this week on the MediaBase country chart.
