(AUDIO) Florida Georgia Line Spending Part of Release Week of Their New Album In New York With Their Families

Florida Georgia Line is releasing a deluxe version of their Here’s to the Good Times album this week.  The new Deluxe package features some new songs they’ve written that they couldn’t wait to get out to the fans, plus the music that was on the original album, including their latest single, “Stay,” and a whole lot more.  “We wanted to shoot some live stuff and just create a whole package, a whole feel, a whole look that everybody could really get to know me and B.K. as well as possible and who we are right now and what we’re doing,” explains Tyler Hubbard.  “It’s a connection thing as well. Everybody’s gonna relate to us and understand us more when they get the re-package, so we’re very excited. We poured our heart and soul into that thing and we’re very excited to get it out there for the people.”

Monday night FGL will celebrate the release of the Deluxe package with a performance at the Troubador in Los Angeles.  They’re looking forward to the performance because Tyler says, “We’ve been playing a lot of arenas and big amphitheaters here recently and it’s gonna be a smaller, intimate night…  Sometimes we find these more intimate settings—the crowds just…the energy’s through the roof even more.  It’s just gonna be a great night.  We’re very excited.”

Then later in the week Florida Georgia Line has a special trip planned to New York City, where they’ve been invited to ride aboard a float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  Tyler says, “We were very excited and a little bummed the first day because we knew we wouldn’t get to go home, but then kind of thought about it and said, ‘Well let’s just bring the family up to New York.’  My family has never even been to New York, so very exciting time and they’re excited to see the city and kind of experience what that week’s gonna be like and just take ‘em out to dinner and have a good time.  So we’re gonna be promoting the record and playing shows and being in the parade.  It’s gonna be a busy but fun time.”

Tyler – “I think the reason we wanted to do this deluxe package in general was just because we’re excited about getting our songs out there. We’re writers at heart and been writing and when you write a good song and get so excited about it you really want to cut it and get it out there and sometimes you don’t want to wait two years or a year-and-a-half to cut a whole new album so that’s the reason we wanted do to it, and we wanted to shoot some behind-the-scenes videos. We wanted to shoot some live stuff and just create a whole package, a whole feel, a whole look that everybody could really get to know me and B.K. as well as possible and who we are right now and what we’re doing, and, you know, it’s a connection thing as well. Everybody’s gonna relate to us and understand us more when they get the re-package, so we’re very excited. We poured our heart and soul into that thing and we’re very excited to get it out there for the people.”

Tyler – “This Thanksgiving’s going to be different.  We were very excited.  We got asked to be in the Macy’s Day parade and a little bummed the first day because we knew we wouldn’t get to go home, but then kind of thought about it and said, ‘Well let’s just bring the family up to New York.’  My family has never even been to New York, so very exciting time and they’re excited to see the city and kind of experience what that week’s gonna be like and just take ‘em out to dinner and have a good time.  So we’re gonna be promoting the record and playing shows and being in the parade.  It’s gonna be a busy but fun time.”

Tyler – “Playing the Troubador is gonna be great.  I mean, fortunately we’ve been playing a lot of arenas and big amphitheaters here recently and it’s gonna be a smaller, intimate night.  Gonna be really cool and it’s something that we’re really looking forward to.  Sometimes we find these more intimate settings—the crowds just…the energy’s through the roof even more.  It’s just gonna be a great night.  We’re very excited.”
