Early on in their career, Brian and Tyler of Florida Georgia Line had plenty of time to write songs for their albums, but these days with their busy touring schedules and other commitments, it’s a lot harder to dedicate time to writing, but in preparing for their next album, Brian Kelley says, “We just instinctively stayed in a creative space. I think we just kept pushing. We had scheduled out writers months in advance so you know what’s coming and get your ideas together if you’re not writing one weekend and just trying to stay prepared having stuff written down in your phone and it’s all about making time. There’s nothing more important than songs.”
Tyler agrees and says it was all about making the most of the time they did have to write. He also says, “You go in prepared, you go in ready to rock, you go in expecting to leave with a hit song. If you expect it, it comes a lot more often than when you’re just hoping for it.”
Florida Georgia Line’s latest single, “Confession,” is off their Anything Goes album. Their next single will be off their forthcoming album, which is due out this spring.

Florida Georgia Line – writing for next album :41
Brian – “We just instinctively just stayed in a creative space. I think we just kept pushing. We had scheduled out writers months in advance so you know what’s coming and get your ideas together if you’re not writing one weekend and just trying to stay prepared having stuff written down in your phone and it’s all about making time. There’s nothing more important than songs.”
Tyler – “I also think there’s something to be said about knowing, ‘Hey, we got one day in the next two weeks to write a song,’ so when we go in that day, it’s not like it used to be where we could write five days a week. You go in prepared, you go in ready to rock, you go in expecting to leave with a hit song. If you expect it, it comes a lot more often than when you’re just hoping for it.”
