(AUDIO) Florida Georgia Line Think It’s Important To Show Up On Album Release Day

Florida Georgia Line’s new album, Anything Goes, will be released on October 14th, and chances are, you might spot them in a store on the day it’s released buying their own copy. When they released their debut album Brian Kelley says they downloaded it on iTunes the minute it was available and they made a point to go into a store on release day to buy a physical copy. They had been doing interviews all day and Brian told their tour manager, “Dude, it’s been a long day and we’ve been doin’ interviews all day, which is great, if I don’t get to buy a physical copy of our CD the day it comes out I’m gonna be broken heart.” Brian says it was so important to do because, “That’s somethin’ that you look forward to. It’s not the same if it’s the second day. It’s still cool, but bein’ able to purchase it that day, ‘Cause I still buy full albums too. So, it’s pretty cool.”

Anything Goes will feature Florida Georgia Line’s latest single, “Dirt,” which is on track to become their sixth consecutive #1 song.

Florida Georgia Line – buying album release day :32
Brian Kelley – “We did both, man. I bought it on iTunes, I think maybe at 11 or midnight, whenever it came out, immediately. Then the next day, we had the media like all that whole day and then we had bus call that night. I told our tour manager, I said, ‘Dude, it’s been a long day and we’ve been doin’ interviews all day, which is great, if I don’t get to buy a physical copy of our CD the day it comes out I’m gonna be broken heart.’ ‘Cause, I mean, that’s somethin’ that you look forward to. It’s not the same if it’s the second day. It’s still cool, but bein’ able to purchase it that day, ‘Cause I still buy full albums too. So, it’s pretty cool.”
