(AUDIO) Florida Georgia Line Thinks Country Music Has Always Been A Wide Range of Styles

When you look at the spectrum of today’s country music, it’s a pretty wide span from Florida Georgia Line to Kacey Musgraves to Rascal Flatts and Justin Moore, and everything in between. Despite what some people might think, Brian Kelley says that kind of variety is nothing new. “I think the cool thing that sets Country music apart, and that always has, is there’s these sub-genres,” says Brian. “There always have been. Everybody has their own sounds, and can have their own sounds. From back in the day Dwight Yoakam’s Bakersfield sound, Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, Alabama. Younger guys like Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, we’re in the mix. We’re very, very thankful to be in the mix.”

Brian thinks the variety is a great think because it draws people from all walks of life to country music. So whether it’s FGL’s latest single, “Sippin’ on Fire,” or something more traditional that turns a new fan onto country music, Brian is all for it.
