(AUDIO) Florida Georgia Line Trying To Wrap Their Minds Around Success

2013 has been a bit of a whirlwind for Florida Georgia Line, who just picked up the trophies for Vocal Duo and Single of the Year for “Cruise” at last week’s CMA Awards.  They’ve had three consecutive #1 hits off their debut album and are hoping for a fourth with their current single, “Stay.”  The guys admit that it’s an ongoing challenge to try to get a handle on everything that has gone on.  ““It’s been a constant thing all year,” says Tyler Hubbard.  “We’ve been trying to wrap our mind around what’s going on.  And it’s been a dream come true and a huge blessing for us and something that we could have never imagined.”

They know that none of it would be possible without all the support of the people who have believed in them.  “It’s a huge testament to our fans that have made our dreams come true and sold out all these shows this year and just showed up and spread the word, says Tyler.  He also credits country radio for allowing them to deliver their brand of country.  “(They’ve) truly accepted us for who we are and what we want to do and our sound, and the sound that we believe in and kind of get out of the box a little, it’s a beautiful thing.  This whole year in general has been amazing and we’ll never take it for granted.”

Next up for Florida Georgia Line, they are nominated for four American Music Awards and will perform on the show on November 24th on ABC.

Florida Georgia Line – wrapping minds around success :39
Tyler – “It’s been a constant thing all year, you know, we’ve been trying to wrap our mind around what’s going on.  And it’s been a dream come true and a huge blessing for us and something that we could have never imagined.  It’s a huge testament to our fans that have made our dreams come true and sold out all these shows this year and just showed up and spread the word.  I mean, we see it every night, it’s unbelievable.  Country radio’s been amazing to us and truly accepted us for who we are and what we want to do and our sound, and the sound that we believe in and kind of get out of the box a little, it’s a beautiful thing.  This whole year in general has been amazing and we’ll never take it for granted.”
