If you’ve listened through Florida Georgia Line’s latest album, Can’t Say I Ain’t Country, then you’ve probably heard the four skits from Brother Jervel that they mixed in with the songs. Brian Kelley explains, “We just thought that’d be a cool kind of ode to some of the old hip hop records back in the day. And it hadn’t really been done in a long time, so we thought it’d be a cool way to show our personality and our sense of humor, to have an old buddy who has this kind of character that he’s like a youth leader, Pastor, leadership type guy and he’s got his own personality and it’s real country and it’s real funny. So that was just a cool way to do that.”
You can hear the four Brother Jervel skits plus FGL’s current single, “Talk You Out of It,” on their latest album, Can’t Say I Ain’t Country.
