Last week, Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line talked about knowing his wife Hayley was the one for him about eight months into dating her. For Brian Kelley (BK) of FGL, his connection with his wife Brittany was a little more instant. “Me and Brittany got married pretty fast and that was evidence of, you know, both of us knowin’ that we were the one for each other.”
While some people believe it takes time to figure out if someone is meant to be your partner for life, BK says, “I just think when it fits like a glove and you’re just aligned on so many different levels – spiritually, mentally, physically, everything that just clicks, you just know.”
BK discovered pretty quickly that Brittany checked all those boxes, and he says, “so, basically, when we connected I couldn’t wait to start the rest of my life with her. So, we just put it into overdrive and got married after five or six months I think it ended up being.”
While BK stays busy with FGL, promoting their top five single, “I Love My Country,” and working on their next album, Brittany runs Tribe Kelley, the couple’s clothing and lifestyle brand, and that’s part of what Brian loves about her. “It’s just her drive, her determination, her openness, her hunger to live her best life,” he says, “and just the way we’ve connected on just so many levels of creativity, spirituality, travel.”
For now, while Tyler prepares to welcome his third child into the world, BK and Brittany are parents to five German Shepherds, but they say they too would like to start a family, but they’re leaving it up to God’s timing and his will.
