Florida Georgia Line will release the playful and flirtatious “Smooth” off their Dig Your Roots album as the follow-up to their heartfelt #1 song, “God, Your Mama and Me.” While the two songs take a different approach to demonstrating how they feel about their wives and are just part of the spectrum of emotions they show off on their latest album, Tyler Hubbard says the one thing all the songs on Dig Your Roots have in common is realness. He says, “You know I don’t think we’ve put out a more real project. The fans get to know us a little bit on every record but I think they get to know us a lot a bit on this record you know what I mean? And see the depth and hear the stories and know our background, and our history, and our families, and our wives, and you know our dogs, and just the whole nine yards. So I think the inspiration and the common theme is really just the realness and the transparency and who BK and I are and who we want to become and the fact that we just want to feel close and the connection to our fans.”
Dig Your Roots also features “H.O.L.Y.” and “May We All,” which were both #1 songs for FGL.
