When Florida Georgia Line appeared on NBC’s Songland, they chose to record a song called “Second Guessing,” which appears on their 6 Pack EP with their top five hit, “I Love My Country.” The duo was drawn to the song because it talked about meeting someone and being able to stop second guessing if they were “the one,” as happened when they met their wives.
When we asked Tyler Hubbard how he knew his wife Hayley was the one for him, he said, “For me, what I was instantly drawn to with my wife when I first met her was just her overall aura, her sense of calm loving generous and gracious and really sweet to her friends. And she just had a sweet soul.”
The more Tyler got to know Hayley, the more he liked her and wanted to be around her. He says, “I learned, man, this girl’s really compatible. She’s open-minded, non-judgmental, likes to have a good time.”
Plus Tyler says their faith and spiritual beliefs lined up, and he joked, “It didn’t take too long for me to know that she was the one that I was pursuing, and if she didn’t turn crazy on me I was gonna put a ring on her.”
Fortunately, Hayley didn’t turn crazy, and after eight months of dating, Tyler asked her to marry him. And now the couple is expecting their third child any day now, who will join 2-year-old big sister Liv and 1-year-old brother Luca. So yes, if you’re counting, that will be three kids under the age of 3 until Liv turns 3 on December 23rd.

We’re very like-minded spiritually and both people of faith and believers, and kind of had the same life goals and stuff as we got to know each other. So, you know, it didn’t take too long for me to know that she was the one that I was pursuing, and if she didn’t turn crazy on me I was gonna put a ring on her. So anyways, she was awesome and continued to be awesome, and I think eight months into knowing her I ask her to marry me.”
