(AUDIO) FOURTH OF JULY AT THE BEACH STARTS BEFORE THE SUN COMES UP FOR FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE’S BRIAN KELLEY

CURRENT SINGLE: “Lil Bit”

Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley (BK) lives down in Florida, and he says, “We take the 4th of July very seriously down at the beach.”

Celebrating the holiday at the beach is an event that requires a lot of pre-planning.  BK explains, “It’s getting up at 4am – your whole truck is already loaded the night before. I’m talkin’ flags, beers, coolers, waters, towels, everything that you need is in the truck. So, we’ll drive out at four in the mornin’, get all the chairs, the flags, the tents, everything set up and then lock the truck, go back, get some sleep. If you don’t get your spot by like 4:30, you’re not gettin’ on the beach. It’s gonna be packed.”

Once BK and his friends return to the beach to kick off their 4th of July celebration, he always looks forward to one of his favorite sights on the beach. “There’s a family, a group of friends that makes these bamboo, they put these American flags, like 50 of ‘em on these tall bamboo poles.  And it’s just a sight to see when you step right on the beach, you’re like, ‘There they go. It’s the 4th, baby!’”

No matter how you like to spend your time at the beach, there’s something for everybody going on, on the 4th down in Florida.  “There’s volleyball, there’s grillin’, there’s, like a DJ out on the beach,” says BK.  “Sometimes people will pull their boats up right along the gulf and just kinda  anchor out, swim out to ‘em, paddleboard back-and-forth. But just good times, good vibes, good people.”
