Gary LeVox has two daughters, 17-year-old Brittany and 13-year-old Brooklyn, and his oldest daughter is definitely itching to follow in her daddy’s footsteps in the music business. Lately, Gary has been teaching Brittany how to write songs, and he says, “It’s funny, you know she’s like, okay, (let’s) do another song. And it’s always, ‘I love you daddy’ in there. It’s sweet.”
While he loves that his daughter wants to include him in so many of her songs, Gary is teaching her to expand her subject matter and he says, “She’s learning but her passion and drive is, I mean, non-stop. She wants to quit school and just go do it.”
While we don’t know that Gary will let Brittany quit school, he has allowed her to shadow him a lot when she’s not in school, on the road and to various events like the CMA Music Festival. This month Rascal Flatts is in Las Vegas for their Night to Shine residency at The Venetian, featuring a lot of their hits and some of the new songs off their latest album, Back To Us.
