Hank Jr.’s very first hit in 1964 had been a previous #1 song for his daddy, called “Long Gone Lonesome Blues.” So, singing songs written by, and written about Hank Sr. has been a career long tradition.
That comes through loud and clear when Hank’s on stage. He says that along with his hits, his fans expect to hear songs like “Love Sick Blues” and “Your Cheatin’ Heart.” And lately, more than ever he’s playing more of those songs at his live shows.
