There’s never been a question of Hank Jr.’s pride in being the son of Hank Williams Senior. His father’s name and story is threaded through his music.
His legendary father died at age 29, but that didn’t stop the influence he had on his 3 year old left behind.
The Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame member says, “I knew that I would never grow up to be a cowboy or a fireman or the president of the United States. I knew I’d grow up to be a singer. That’s all there ever was, the only option from the beginning.”
Singing publicly since he was 8, he’s done more than honor his father’s legacy; he’s carried it forward. One thing he says was passed down from his father was his songwriting ability. According to Hank, it’s in his blood line…
