(AUDIO) Hank Jr. Says When The Cops Are Out Of Cuffs And The Venue Is Out Of Beer, It’s Time To Go Home

One way to measure a concert’s success is by how much merchandise is sold. And when it comes to Hank Jr. – fans want to go home with a souvenir (or 2.) And it’s not unusual for him to sell 6 figures worth in one night. That’s a lot of hats and t-shirts!

One employee that’s been selling his merchandise for 3 decades is still occasionally surprised at the numbers, even in the smallest of towns. The former Entertainer of The Year recalls their conversation about a show in a small area in Northern California.

b“He said, well I just ran the highest credit card sales that I ever have in my life. He said this is unbelievable. It was fantastic. I remember, he said well, the cops out of cuffs and the venue’s out of beer and says I guess we can leave now… (laughter.) Oh yeah, It’s all good.”
