(AUDIO) Hank Williams Jr. Celebrates Over 50 Years of Fans and Music

How many artists can you name that have successfully recorded for over 50 years? Well, it’s been 51 since Hank Jr. released his first album and 3 years since he released his last. That’s history.

Even the years when we didn’t hear him on the radio much, his four-time Emmy award-winning “Are You Ready For Some Football” kept him in front of a national audience. Through the decades…between hunting, fishing, and working on his farm, he’s continued to sell out concerts and add Platinum to his walls.

Since starting in the 60’s, he’s sold more than 70 million albums. That includes 6 Platinum and 20 Gold albums, with 13 of them topping the album charts.

And look for those numbers to rise, as Bocephus is recording more songs and releasing a new single any day now…

Hank Jr. – I’ve sold a lot of records :18
“I have made a lot of records in my life. I have sold a lot of records in my life. And time goes by so fast you know and you’re writing songs or doing something that seems like yesterday. So, I got a lot going on I guess, besides music.” (Laughter out)
