(AUDIO) HANK WILLIAMS, JR. FEELS GREAT ABOUT BEING LOOKED UP TO BY HIS YOUNGER COUNTERPARTS

When Hank Williams, Jr. reaches out to people like Justin Moore or Brantley Gilbert or Eric Church and asks them to record a song with him, they don’t even hesitate, and that feels good to Hank.  While he may not keep up with what’s happening on country radio these days, he’s got his daughters to fill him in.  Hank says, “It’s a great feeling when your daughter has to tell you ‘My God, dad. You don’t keep up with this stuff. The guy has got four songs about you.’ ‘Who?’ ‘Justin Moore, dad.’ ‘Oh, okay.’ That’s the feeling and these guys know that. It doesn’t matter if it’s Kenny Chesney or Kid Rock. It’s a great feeling.”

Hank is especially appreciative of the admiration from the younger guys because he says, “I’ve been out there for a long time. I had the greatest teachers in the world. They know exactly where I’m coming from with that Skynyrd, Tucker, and Allman and all of that stuff. You know, it’s a wonderful thing. I know when they look at me and say something, they mean it.”

Hank’s latest single is called “The Party’s On,” and you’ll find it on his latest album, It’s About Time.
