(AUDIO) Hank Williams Jr Says No Wine and Cheese For Bocephus

With Hank Jr. back in the studio and ready to release a new single, he reminds everyone that music is forever changing. And after having 42 top 10 hits, he obviously has found what works.

He commented, “You must remember, music goes in cycles…Some people didn’t think I was country when I was making records in the ’80s because I was using electric guitars and becoming a bit rowdy.”

Whatever people were calling his music at the time, it was a hit. In fact, one of his biggest was in 1986 with his now label mate, Reba. The two, along with Willie Nelson, Tom Petty (and Reverend Ike,) had a #1 hit with “Mind Your Own Business.”

Hank says when working with Reba, it was so easy and they just hit it off great…

Hank Jr. – No wine and cheese :17
“I think that’s the only duet we ever did and then Bang! Ya know. And we did a couple of awards shows. I think her and I are a whole lot alike. We’re pretty country folks, ya know were not really into the wine and cheese crowd and never will be…Never.”
