Riley Green is an avid hunter, and he loves hunting for turkeys. It would be pretty cool if he could shoot his own Thanksgiving turkey, but bad timing and the possibility of breaking a tooth on a lingering pellet makes it less appealing.

“The problem in Northeast Alabama is turkey season does not fall during Thanksgiving. We only have a spring turkey season. So if I’ve got one in the freezer, yes. If not, I think we go buy our Thanksgiving turkey to make sure it doesn’t have pellets in it when we cook it.”
The good news is, if Riley ever did decide he wanted to bag his own turkey for Thanksgiving, there are plenty of states that offer fall turkey hunting, and he could always opt for a bow and arrow instead of a shotgun.
