Rascal Flatts has been busy promoting their new EP, How They Remember You, which is also the name of their latest single. But also, like a lot of parents, the guys have been getting ready for the new school year with their kids, which got them to thinking about their favorite subjects when they were in school. “My favorite subject was English and I don’t know why,” says Gary LeVox. “I liked English. Hated math.”
Jay DeMarcus, who is a U.S. history buff says, “I had two favorite subjects. I loved American history, anything American history, and I loved government. I just like learning how it started, how it was formed …”
Gary suspects one of the reasons he never got into history and government is because his football coach was also his government teacher, and he says, “He wasn’t the best.”
Unlike Gary, Joe Don Rooney says, “I enjoyed math until I got into like, trigonometry, woo!”
Jay couldn’t resist giving Joe Don a hard time and said, “Until it got into like subtraction and that.”
Joe Don played along and said, “Yeah, when you got into single digit numbers and you had to add ‘em, oh, lost me. By fourth grade I was tapped out.”
Jay suggested that what Joe Don should say instead of liking math is, “Basically, I like numbers.”
The good news is, no math is required to listen to Rascal Flatts’ new EP. Just visit your favorite streaming or download service, and find it there now.
