CURRENT SINGLE – “Don’t Come Lookin’”
As Memorial Day approaches, Jackson Dean reflects on those who are serving and have served our country, like his grandfather. “My grandfather was a Marine. He was in World War II in the South Pacific, and he did two tours over there and in Africa, and went around the world.”
When Jackson thinks about what it takes for someone to serve our country, he knows in his grandfather’s time there was a draft, but he knows there was still great honor and sacrifice in his service. “Now,” he says, “the world’s a little bit different. Some people have a commitment to honor and to serve and protect, and some are just really good at it. There’s all different reasons why.”
No matter the reason someone steps up and serves our country, Jackson has great respect for the men and women who serve and the sacrifice they make for our country.
Jackson Dean – Memorial Day mentality :28
“My grandfather was a Marine. He was in World War II in the South Pacific, and he did two tours over there and in Africa, and went around the world. I think in times of war, it’s just what you do. You just kind of have to. Now, the world’s a little bit different. Some people have a commitment to honor and to serve and protect, and some are just really good at it. There’s all different reasons why.”
