(AUDIO) JACKSON DEAN THINKS PEOPLE WERE READY FOR A STOMPIN’ SONG THEY COULD ESCAPE WITH

DEBUT SINGLE – “Don’t Come Lookin’”

Jackson Dean’s debut single, “Don’t Come Lookin,” has rocketed up the charts, which is especially rare for a brand new artist.  Jackson thinks the song has resonated so much with people because, “It is just country enough but it also has a lot more, I think, cojones than what’s being played right now. It’s heavy and it’s a stomp, and people want something to go ‘hell to the yeah’ for.”

Besides the fact that “Don’t Come Lookin’” gets people fired up, Jackson thinks the timing of the song has played a big role in its success. “I think it came in at a really great time, especially with the pandemic,” says Jackson. “That song was written before the pandemic but it was perfect because a whole bunch of people just left. I saw so many brand new trucks and so many brand new Winnebagos on the road. Everybody was gettin’ out. And I think people like (the song) because they’re like, that’s exactly what I love to do.”

Of course, Jackson totally gets the desire to get out and get away. “I love to do that stuff,” he says. “I love to get out where nobody can find me. I love to be out by myself, you know, just out there. And I don’t know, sometimes you need something with a stomp to kick you on down the road to do it. And epic guitar solos help, and head-bangin’ helps,” he adds with a grin.

Released less than five months ago, “Don’t Come Lookin’” is sitting in the top 15 on the charts and continuing to climb, as more and more people continue to discover Jackson and his unique brand of country music.
