DEBUT SINGLE – “Don’t Come Lookin’”
Jackson Dean is on the verge of having his first #1 song of his career with his debut single, “Don’t Come Lookin’,” which would cap off the incredible year the song has had, which began in December 2021, when “Don’t Come Lookin’” was featured in season 4, episode 7 of the Paramount series, Yellowstone. Not only is Jackson a huge fan of the show, but he’s also a massive Kevin Costner fan, so he’ll never forget watching the episode with his song in it.
Jackson Dean – song in Yellowstone :36
“I was in a hotel room in Santa Fe, watching it on a computer. They played like a minute and a half of my song, and then I was just like, ‘Oh, here it is,’ and then it goes to Kevin Costner, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God!’ (big laugh) It’s just like, oh my God, there’s a piece of film in the world that has my song playing and Kevin Costner in it at the same time. This is Kevin Costner, like Dances with Wolves, Waterworld, The Untouchables, oh my God. This is insane. I mean, I’ve grown up watching Kevin Costner’s work since I was born, like my entire life. So, it’s just pretty mind blowing to me.”
Something else pretty mind blowing – Jackson Dean just turned 22 on October 6th, so when “Don’t Come Lookin’” reaches #1 next week, he will officially be the youngest solo male country artist ever, to have his debut single reach the top of the charts. In case you’re wondering, Bailey Zimmerman, who just celebrated his debut single making it to #1, is also 22-years-old, but he is eight months older than Jackson, which makes Jackson poised to make history with “Don’t Come Lookin’.”
