(AUDIO) JACKSON DEAN WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A GANDER INSIDE TAYLOR SHERIDAN’S BRAIN AND BE SHOT BY KEVIN COSTNER

DEBUT SINGLE – “Don’t Come Lookin’”

Back in December, before Jackson Dean released his debut single, “Don’t Come Lookin’,” to country radio, it was featured on the wildly popular TV show, Yellowstone (Season 4, episode 7).  The song is now sitting just outside the top ten on the charts, and Jackson absolutely believes the song’s placement on the show has contributed to its success.

Jackson Dean – impact of Yellowstone  :26

“We played Filer, Idaho, at Highway 30 Fest. Whole bunch of bands from Texas. We were the only ones not from Texas, so we were like the black sheep. And, massive, massive Yellowstone fans at that festival. I had probably 30 people come up to me and be like, ‘Hey man, we know you from Yellowstone, and that’s how we like found you.’  So, yes, i. It played a massive, massive part in it.”

While Jackson is grateful for the exposure Yellowstone gave his music, he also happens to be a huge fan of the show and its creator, Taylor Sheridan.  Jackson would love to meet Taylor and pick his brain, and even offer himself up for a bit part on Yellowstone.

Jackson Dean – meeting Taylor Sheridan :34

“I have not met Taylor Sheridan. Incredible individual though. I would really love to meet him. I mean, if Kevin Costner wants to shoot a bad guy I can play a good bad guy.  I am not opposed at all, in any way, shape or form. I would absolutely love that, to be shot by Kevin Costner, like Springsteen was shot by John Wayne. All it takes is like five seconds. That’s it. I would really like to meet Taylor Sheridan though. I would like to crawl in his brain for a minute and have a gander and talk about, ‘Hey man, where’s your madness come from?’ Just like ask those kinds of questions to him.“
