(AUDIO) Jay DeMarcus Of Rascal Flatts Thinks Country Music Has Some Incredible Female Vocalists

There has been a lot of talk and debate over the last couple of years about the lack of female artists on country radio. While there may be fewer females on the radio, Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts is deeply impressed by the female voices that are in country music like Kimberly Perry from The Band Perry. “I mean, doesn’t she sing man?” says Jay. “It’s just awesome, I love it, it’s so great to have somebody that really brings it, and can do it live. It’s like you see her or Carrie Underwood too, these guys are such powerhouse vocalists and they live up to it when they have to do it live. That’s what I love so much.”

Rascal Flatts own powerhouse lead vocalist, Gary LeVox, shows off his incredible skills on the band’s new single, “Riot,” off their Rewind album.
