(AUDIO) JENNIFER NETTLES DISCUSSES THE CREATIVE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN BROADWAY AND MAKING MUSIC

While making music and starring on Broadway are two creative outlets Jennifer Nettles enjoys immensely, she has learned they are very different when it comes to the process and the pace.  She days, “I have found in the music world now, based on sort of where I am and where I have been, you want to make a record okay, you go make a record and here it’s going to be put out and this is when we’re going to put it out and all that.  When you’re in the acting world or in the Broadway world, you have to wait for the right project to come along that you feel you fit with and that other people feel you fit with. You know with music it’s not like that.  With music it’s like you make a record and you see if people like it and that means it fits, you know.  But with acting it’s a different pacing.  There are different steps in that, so it’s been interesting for me to learn about that world too.”

Jennifer has said she would definitely like to take on another Broadway role, since she had such a great experience playing Roxy Hart in Chicago, but for now she’s watching and waiting what roles become available, while she continues to focus on her music and promoting her latest single, “Hey Heartbreak.”

Jennifer Nettles – acting vs music world  :39
