Jennifer Nettles recognizes that the landscape of country music fans is definitely getting younger. She says, “Country music used to be music your parents listened to. Now it is now become much more of a youthful genre and young people buy the records. They have the money, they have the disposable income that they’ve gotten from their parents and that people used to not have as young people, and they now definitely hold a lot of weight in the market. But it used to be that it was your parents music you know it was grown people music.”
But Jennifer is all for growth and change and she embraces the shifting demographics of country music, and hopes that they embrace her music, such as her latest single, “Hey Heartbreak,” as well.
