Jennifer Nettles just released her new album, Playing with Fire, and while she hopes it sells well and lands at the top, she admits she’s not a chart watcher. Jennifer says, “I had some very good advice early on about chart watching that said it’s much like the stocks, that you can go crazy by watching it go up and down in the course of a day. If you wanna see what’s happening week by week, okay, but normally I really just look at my manager and my label and say, ‘Okay, please do keep me informed so that I know that all my work is working, but really, let me know when it hits top five,’ you know what I’m saying? And then we can talk, because otherwise I feel like I need to just keep my nose down and keep workin’.”
Jennifer knows she’s sold at least one copy of her album because anytime she releases a new album she says, “I’ve many times tried to buy a copy, depending on where I am at, and I definitely go and I buy it on iTunes.”
