(AUDIO) JENNIFER NETTLES WANTED TO INCLUDE SONGS FOR EVERYBODY ON HER LATEST ALBUM

Jennifer Nettles’ latest album, Playing with Fire, features “Unlove You” and her latest single, “Hey Heartbreak,” two songs that couldn’t be more different.  But that was part of the idea when Jennifer was choosing songs for Playing with Fire.  She says when someone listens to the album, “I would hope that they see parts of themselves and I would hope that they see parts of themselves that they want to move toward.  I hope that they feel seen most of all, and that they feel represented, either for parts of their life or if it’s something more emotional and more spiritual or wanting to grow and evolve as a person.  I hope that they would hear that too.  Or if they just want to dance, maybe they put on ‘Hey Heartbreak’ or ‘Sugar’ and have a good time.”

Ultimately, Jennifer believes there is a song for everyone on Playing with Fire, no matter where they’re at in their lives.
