Jonathan Jackson, who plays Avery on ABC’s Nashville, believes the baby he and Juliette just welcomed into the world on the show will mellow them out in some ways and create drama in others. Jonathan is a father of three in his own life and he says, “I know that children add a huge amount of intensity in many different ways to your life, and responsibility. At the same time it mellows you out, so it’s kind of a paradox because you’re less concerned about your own ambitions and you’re kind of less wrapped up in your own world when you have something else and someone else to provide for and think about.”
At the same time, when you’ve got a character like Juliette’s, who is audacious and ambitious and dramatic in her own right, he says, “I think that it will probably add perspective for both of them, but at the same time, logistically, it makes life complicated sometimes.”
Nashville returns with a new episode this Wednesday night at 10pm ET/9pm CT on ABC.

Nashville – Jonathan Jackson baby effect :36
“I mean I think it’s probably gonna have a little of both. I have three kids of my own, so I know that children add a huge amount of intensity in many different ways to your life, and responsibility. At the same time it mellows you out, so it’s kind of a paradox because you’re less concerned about your own ambitions and you’re kind of less wrapped up in your own world when you have something else and someone else to provide for and think about. So, I think that it will probably add perspective for both of them, but at the same time, logistically, it makes life complicated sometimes.”
