CURRENT SINGLE: “We Didn’t Have Much”
For a lot of country singers, having most of 2020 to spend at home with their kids was a chance to spend some quality time with them that they often missed out on due to touring. But for Justin Moore, who has always made it a priority to spend as much time as possible with his four kids, even when he’s touring, he says, “I don’t want this to come across as like I’m the perfect parent, because certainly I’m not. But obviously, having the additional time at home we’ve all enjoyed to a degree, because otherwise we would never have had it. But I’ve always been close to my kids. I’ve always been very hands on with ‘em. I still am.”
Because of that, Justin says, “I don’t feel as though this time has made us closer necessarily, because I’ve been home. Because I feel as though Kate and I have always done a really good job of that in the past (making sure he’s home enough to spend quality time with the kids).
While everyone in Justin’s household has enjoyed having him around full-time, he says, “To be honest with you, I think we’re all – the kids included, not that they’re ready for dad to leave. I don’t mean it that way – but we’re ready for our life rhythm to get back to normal.”
Justin has already started hittin’ the road and playing shows, and he’s got a full schedule for the summer, so everyone will get a chance to get their rhythm as a family back, the way it was pre-pandemic.
