Justin Moore is best friends with his mom and dad, who happen to live right next door to him in Arkansas.  He and his wife Kate even double date with his parents sometimes. So, knowing his parents as well as he does, Justin knows exactly what type of reactions he’ll get from each of them anytime he shares new music with them.

“My mom is really, she’s like Kate. She’s really honest with me. And that goes back to me playing sports and everything. And she’s the same with my kids. If I played a great game, she’d tell me. But if I played a bad game, she’d tell me that too. And same with my kids. But my dad’s more the type that, you know, everything’s great. Everything I write’s a number one. Everything I record, I sound better than ever on. You know, all those types of things. But you gotta take what he says with a grain of salt. I’m like, by your count dad, I’ve got like 700 number one songs I think, something like that.”
