(AUDIO) JUSTIN MOORE CONSIDERED A CAREER IN MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL, BUT NOT AS A PLAYER

#1 SINGLE: “We Didn’t Have Much”

Justin Moore grew up playing baseball, and he once hoped to play in the major leagues, but once he realized that wasn’t going to happen, he considered a different career in professional sports as a physical therapist.  “I wanted to do the therapy side of things,” says Justin. “It’s less pumpin’ iron and more rehab type stuff with athletes.  It would’ve been something with sports.”

Right around the time Justin graduated from high school, his mom underwent surgery on her leg and required physical therapy, and Justin recalls, “She’s like, ‘I could see you doin’ that. And I was like, ‘Yeah, if I could do it with a ball team or somethin’ that’d be cool. So, that was kinda always in the back of my mind.”

Justin’s idea of becoming a physical therapist for the MLB was short-lived.  He went to college for two weeks before he dropped out to move to Nashville and pursue his career in music.
