(AUDIO) Justin Moore Finds Success In Country Music In Spite of Elusive National TV Time

Justin Moore has had four number one singles, number one albums and he’s in the middle of his second successful headlining tour, all that in spite of the fact that you don’t often see his face peppered all over national television like some of his peers.  As for why he’s not on TV more, Justin says, “I wish I knew, but the call has never came so far, but that’s all right, long as we keep having the success we’ve had… We’ve always flown under the radar and I don’t know why that is, but it’s what we do, and that’s fine, long as we keep having the opportunities come our way that have come our way. We’re not gonna worry about the ones that haven’t come our way.”

Justin says he’d be lying if he said it didn’t bother him a little that he’s not on national TV more often, but he jokes, “I’m gonna worry about what I can worry about, what makes a difference in my career, and if we’re on TV fine, and if we ain’t fine. I don’t know if there’s a height requirement or what it is.”

Rather than belly ache about the opportunities he doesn’t have, Justin, whose latest single, “Lettin’ the Night Roll,” is currently climbing the charts, says, “I think focusing our time and our energy on the specific people who are buying the albums has been huge. I think that’s been a big part of it. And that’s a credit to my record label for realizing that and helping us pull those type things (like special YouTube concerts and album launch opportunities) off.”

Justin Moore – why no national TV  1:08
“I wish I knew, but the call has never came so far, but that’s all right, long as we keep having the success we’ve had. I said before this album came out that we’ve always flown under the radar and I don’t know why that is, but what we do, and that’s fine long as we keep having the opportunities come our way that have come our way. We’re not gonna worry about the ones that haven’t come our way. You know, I’m really good friends with Chris and I bought his album the day it came out, and we exchange texts and calls and all that stuff. He was the first one to congratulate me on having the number one album. Billy’s got some great music out there as well. But I’m gonna worry about what I can worry about, what makes a difference in my career, and if we’re on TV fine, and we ain’t fine. I don’t know if there’s a height requirement or what it is, but as to how we’ve had the success we’ve had without it is because, I think focusing our time and our energy on the specific people who are buying the albums has been huge. I think that’s been a big part of it. And that’s a credit to my record label for realizing that and helping us pull those type things off.”
