Friday marked the first official day of summer, which means Justin Moore and his family will be spending a lot of time at their beach house down in Florida. Justin loves being there and he says, “Outside of my home in Arkansas, it’s kind of like my Zen place. And it’s hard for me to turn my brain off from work and just different responsibilities and for some reason I do down there and can down there. It’s one of those things you can’t really explain.”
Trying to pinpoint exactly what it is that he loves about the beach, Justin says, “I don’t really know why that is but it’s beautiful first and foremost. The sound, the air’s different and the kids love it too. And so rather than take a big vacation in the summer we go stay at our house and it’s one of those places that it’s hard for me to ever really relax, but that’s one of the places that I can.”
Justin will have to travel back and forth to the beach in between his tour dates this summer as he ramps up to the release of his new album, Late Nights and Longnecks, featuring his latest single, “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home,” coming out on July 26th.
