Back in January, Justin Moore and his wife added two Great Danes named Johnny and June to their family because they thought they’d make great outside dogs. It turns out Great Danes are inside dogs by nature, and so for the last 11 months, Justin and his wife Kate have been trying to manage the two huge dogs in their house. Justin says, “Right before (my son) South was born (in June), we sent ‘em to training, obedience training, and until then they were just crazy. I mean you couldn’t control them. I mean they’re huge and don’t listen and everything that you can imagine.”
Justin admits the training was definitely helpful, but the dogs’ behavior and obedience is a work in progress. The “Kinda Don’t Care” singer estimates Johnny and June are about 130 pounds and 110 pounds right now and they still get into trouble and make messes around the house, which is a big challenge for Justin, who is an obsessive neat freak. He says, “I am totally not good in these type situations. I just kind of freak out. Kate, thankfully, is better equipped to handle these situations. But they’re doing better but they still got a ways to go. I can tell you right now, I can handle two infants better than I can handle them two.”
You can see a recent picture of Johnny and June on Justin’s Instagram account. He posted a picture of them half sitting on the couch and half sitting on the floor while his wife worked on their Christmas tree. You can find Justin @justincolemoore on Instagram.
Justin Moore – Great Danes update :44
“Well, right before South was born we sent ‘em to training, obedience training, and until then they were just crazy. I mean you couldn’t control them. I mean they’re huge and don’t listen and everything that you can imagine. And so we sent them off, got them back and they’re doing much, much better than they did but they still got a lot of improvement to go. And I am totally not good in these type situations. I just kind of freak out. Kate, thankfully, is better equipped to handle these situations. But they’re doing better but they still got a ways to go. I can tell you right now, I can handle two infants better than I can handle them two. But I think they’re like a 130 pounds and 110 pounds right now.”
