It’s that time of year when everybody seem to be getting sick, but Justin Moore does everything he can to stay healthy and protect his voice because even a little cold can make performing live a challenge and take some of the fun out of it for him.

“It’s funny because sometimes when my voice is a little raw and we got to go play a show, I’m so jealous of my band because they can still play their instruments even if their voice is off. My voice is my instrument, and I’m such a perfectionist, especially as far as music is concerned and live music. It’s like if you go out as an athlete and you play with your ankle swollen or your knee sore or whatever, you wanna be able to be full go, you know, the whole time. You don’t wanna kind of halfway get through it, so it’s tough at times. But we’ve still got a great job and it’s a blast to go do, even if you gotta play hurt.”
