Justin Moore just celebrated his ninth #1 song, “Why We Drink,” and he would love to be out on the road celebrating with his fans, which of course he can’t right now because of Covid-19. While he’s still able to make music and do interviews thanks to technology, he admits having the touring part of his job taken away has been challenging. “You know, I’m, a pretty easygoing guy and pretty happy most of the time,” says Justin. “I don’t really get too high or too low but, I mean, I’ve probably dealt with a little bit of depression, I guess is what you would call it. I’m bummed out.”
All of that said, Justin says he’s fine, and he knows there are so many people who are dealing with so much more than he and his family are, but if he’s being honest, “It sucks not seein’ the guys in my band and crew that I’ve been around for over a decade and been able to share so many intimate moments with. I kinda liken it to sports. I played sports growin’ up and you don’t necessarily miss the games, you don’t necessarily miss the shows, as much as you miss being inside the locker room. And so, it’s a bummer.”
In the meantime, Justin says he and his team are considering every possible option to be able to bring live music back to the fans.
