current single: “THIS IS MY DIRT”

Justin Moore briefly moved to Nashville at the beginning of his career, but once he and his wife Kate started having kids, he knew he wanted to raise his family back home in Poyen (pronounced POE-en), Arkansas. Not only is Poyen special to Justin because it’s his hometown, but the land his family lives on is exactly what he sings about in his latest single, “This Is My Dirt.”

“’This Is My Dirt’ is a really special song to me.  Any song I write or record about where I’m from is special, this one in particular, though. My grandfather was raised here by his grandfather, inherited the property from him.  It’s been in our family since the late 1800’s, but I inherited this land from him as well. And so it’s been in our family for a long time, means a lot to all of us. And it’s not some property that people would be seeking out except when they’re born and raised here like I was. So, it’s pretty special.”
