Earlier in his career, New Year’s Eve was a lot bigger deal for Justin Moore. “For years and years and years, I always had to play New Year’s Eve because you can get more money that night,” says Justin. But now that he’s older and has a family he says, “We just kind of hang… The last five, six, seven years I just said I ain’t playin’ New Year’s Eve because it’s fun to kind of be with everybody.”
The “Kinda Don’t Care” singer admits that most of the hanging on New Year’s Eve happens early. Justin says, “In all honesty I don’t know the last year that I’ve actually made it to midnight. Me and Kate, you know we’ll hang and have family over and do that stuff during the day or the afternoon and then we struggle and struggle and struggle to make it to whatever New Year’s Eve show we’re watching and never actually make it.”
This will be the first New Year’s Eve that Justin and Kate will be celebrating as a family of six, with their daughters Ella, Kennedy and Klein, and their son South, who was born on June 11th of this year.
