Justin Moore has been blessed to have a good amount of success in his career, including #1 songs, successful tours and successful selling albums. He admits that early on, all that success was a little overwhelming and hard to handle. He says, “I didn’t understand why all these things were happenin’ to me – good things – and it was really tough to handle. That’s one reason I started drinkin’ and I thought, ‘Oh man, I can do anything I wanna do, I deserve this.’”
Fortunately, Justin got out of that rut pretty quickly, but at the time, he remembers, “It was difficult for me to handle success, more so than even money. It was just, being famous, not that I’m Brad Pitt famous or anything like that, but any sense of fame. Nobody can really prepare you for that.”
Thanks to his wife Kate and his three little girls and just having more experience and growing up, Justin is able to handle all the success in his career in stride these days. He’s hoping his brand new single, “You Look Like I Need a Drink,” will become his next successful hit song.
