It’s been three years since Justin Moore released his last album, so when it came time to choose the first single off his new album, he explains why he thought “You Look Like I Need a Drink” was the best first choice.  “Had we came right back out with something right after the previous single, we probably would have put something different out,” says Justin.  “But seeing as how we were off of radio for six, eight months, we didn’t want to freak everybody out after being gone for a little bit.  So, we thought, man, let’s give ’em something that they know is me and they go, ‘Okay, it’s Justin.’  Plus, at the time we put that out, we had guys going, ‘Man, I need some country, country music,’ and that’s a pretty country song, so we felt pretty good about it.”

While “You Look Like I Need A Drink” was a familiar reintroduction of Justin onto radio, he says there’s definitely a lot more depth and variety to come on his Kinda Don’t Care album.  He says, “This music on this album, there’s a really good combination of things like ‘You Look Like I Need A Drink’ which is pretty much right down my alley, right in my wheelhouse, and stuff that’s a little bit different for us, which is something we have to continue to push ourselves to do.”

Justin’s new album, Kinda Don’t Care, will be released this Friday.
