Justin Moore has finished recording his next album, which he expects to release sometime in early 2019, and he just released, “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home” as the first single off that album because he says, “I told the label, I said, ‘Man, a song about drinking beer can be a hit anytime.’ And I love those just as much as the next guy and have a number of them. But I said, ‘I really would like to do something a little different with the first single from this album.’  It really hit me that I wanted to do something like this song.”

One of the things that influenced Justin’s decision to release “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home” first was a benefit concert he recently played for the families of the victims of the Parkland, Florida school shooting.  He says, “It was really impactful.  They told me how much ‘[If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away]’ meant to them and how it had helped them cope as best anything could.  And I thought, ‘Man, I really would like to do this song.’ Because I think there’s more stories out there, obviously, to where maybe we could help some folks cope with difficulty in losing a loved one.  So I’m thrilled that it’s the way that we’re going to have the opportunity to introduce this album to folks.”
