Justin Moore made the decision several years back to move back to his home state of Arkansas after spending many years in Nashville. He explains, “I lived in Nashville for nine years or something like that. And I have nothing but good things to say about Nashville. I’ve (got) a lot of great friends here and I’m very appreciative for the opportunities that I’ve been provided because of this town, but it wasn’t home. And when I had my first daughter, most of the time artists, when they’re in Nashville, it’s because they’re off. And so I thought I’d rather be off at home with my family and eat dinner with my parents and have a support system back home for our kids.”
Besides wanting to have a support system for his growing family, Justin wanted to be in Arkansas, quite simply because he says, “I enjoy living there. I enjoy where I grew up and how I grew up and I wanted my kids to be able to experience that as well.”
It’s a busy time for Justin. He and his wife Kate are expecting their fourth child any day now, his latest single, “Somebody Else Will,” is about to crack the top 15 on the charts and he’s got a summer full of tour dates, so that family support system is especially important these days.
