(AUDIO) JUSTIN MOORE WONDERS HOW DOGS RECOGNIZE STRANGE TRUCKS

CURRENT SINGLE: “We Didn’t Have Much”

Justin Moore’s latest top 20 hit, “We Didn’t Have Much,” is about living life a little simpler, with less stuff and the people you love.  There are a lot of great lines in the song, but Justin says, “Probably my favorite line in the song, just because I literally remember this kind of thing happenin’ when I was growing up, is, ‘Dogs barkin’ in the yard at a truck we don’t know.’ Like, how does a dog know that trucks okay, and I ain’t never seen that truck?  But they do.”

Justin finds it both amusing and perplexing, that just like a human, a dog knows a stranger’s truck when he sees one.  “Growing up in a town of 300 people, there’s a person now, when a truck comes through town, you go, who is that? I ain’t never seen that truck, you know.”

And the fact that dogs have that same ability to recognize a stranger’s truck, and Justin and his co-writers were able to write that into “We Didn’t Have Much,” makes him smile.   “That line always cracks me up and grabs my attention,” says Justin.
